Elvis Impersonator competition held at Courtland High School on October 23rd. Elvii from all over the country entered this regional qualifier for the nationals in Memphis this May. The overall winner, Bennie Wheels, was chosen by panel of judges. The competition was a benefit for the Childrens Miracle Network.
This was a fun daily assignment. All access, friendly subjects, emotion, etc. The audience, mostly women in their 50’s, was going absolutely crazy for these guys.
Looks like it was a good time. Just went back through all of your posts and this is one of your better packages. I like the second frame from the top. I’d say it would be a single if there was a guitar or little elvis doll in the background. Anyway, good package.
I agree with PMonk. I like the pics, cool lighting and fun stuff going on. I like that second one but my eye wants more as it moves around the frame…if that makes sense. What great/interesting light for a high school, from those performance pics.
Those Elvis photos reminded me of my trip to Las Vegas in the 70’s to see Elvis in person. I think you really captured the esssense of who Elvis was, even though this guy is an imppersonater- the photos are GREAT. I also like the photo of” people looking up” What an unusal idea but then again, you are one “h—” of a photographer
great photos dude…thank your lucky stars you’re not at the SBNP!!!
i like that you included the young Elvis photos. it seems more like Elvis thru the Ages.
