From left, Kayla Kimura, Tracey Akashi, Jeanine Shimatsu, and Erin Kimura with a reproduction of the notices posted around the state ordering people of Japanese ancestry to report to the internment camps during World War II. All four girls are of Japanese ancestry, and had relatives who were forced to live in the internment camps.
Sky, I really like this portrait. I don’t know if it’s portfolio, that’s your call, but it’s great daily work. I like the simplicity of it, how the girls faces stand out against the background. Plus they all have good expressions.
This picture has raw impact, I’m sure people will want to read the story. One glance and I’m immediatley intrigued. Nice!
I love this picture. I like the composition and the light. Its photos like this that prod me to dive into photography after years of delay. Thanks.
