Forget politics, Obama is the best public speaker I’ve ever seen. Hands down. The guy is magnetic.
I love the pictures! I was up on the grassy knoll so I didn’t get this good of view. But no matter where you were — you have to admit — he is a great orator — and as a preacher myself, I’ve heard some pretty good ones.
the first picture makes me want to squeal out loud with delight. what a precious fucking treasure. i know that old lady wants to pinch his cheeks.
Great set. I love the second one. Really good work!
great series right in the action!
Very nice. I like the third from the top. Even though it is almost a silhouette, you can tell exactly who it is.
great series. i love the first and second one the most.
Although I live in Santa Barbara, I was not there and from your photos, I don’t think I would have gotten a better view than the onces your photos captured. I think his magic, and enthusiasm and his youth and the future of this country is with him. At leasts, that what your photos portrayed so clearly. Great work Sky Gilbar. You are a pro. And, I say vote for him if he is nominated.
Keep up the good work Sky. You are a talented young man.
hi. nice blog . thanks.
Superb series, you have really given him personality in these images. Not that I am saying he does not have any, just they are up close and personal, giving it that extra edge. The first in particular really is familiar.
You’ve definitely raised the bar for this type of photography. I especially like the creative compostion/content of the third image from the top, but they’re all excellent.
I’m a french photographer. So i’m looking at American’s politics with outdistance. I’m not influenced by American TV. Obama seems to us realy interesting. French people love him. (Sorry : they loved Kerry and Al Gore. That not a good new)Your images are realy strong and give an idea about that man.
The amusing thing is that i showed your work to my father and his wife who live in Montana. And they have been impressed. They are probably going to vote for him, after seing these photographs.
That the power of pictures!
Very nice work!
Your photos are terrific. Have you tried selling the closeup of Obama to the new organisations? Or to the Obama campaign?
It’s a while since I’ve seen intelligence like this behind the lens.
I wish you all success with your photography career.
