Miramar Surf

After doing a few multimedia video assignments this summer at a newspaper I was at, I’ve really gotten into shooting video. I recently got my own gear, and was eager to give it a go around. We recently had a big swell, so I decided to shoot the surfers down at Miramar beach for practice.
For those of you that are dreading video at your jobs and internships (you know who you are!), go out and try to do personal video shooting. You might be surprised to come around on it.
dude sick. we are slowly getting into video here at The FLS. did you handhold all this or did you use a tripod? im actually pretty stoked about doing video. ill let you know when i actually finish something.

Pretty cool little surf video. Makes me hate Missouri and want to go back to the beach.
Right on Sky! Great video bro. Not too long, beautiful shots, and really sick editing man. I was really impressed man. Your stills have been totally on the mark lately and this video is right on par. Keep it up man. Great split cam stuff to boot.
Good stuff, man. It’s visually interesting enough to pull me through the duration of the piece without dialogue, sound or narration. I especially like the Post-Nuclear-Apocalypse-looking shots.
Glad I moved to Santa Barbara!
Sky,
the video is great, but you need to tone better. Get FCP studio 2 asap. It comes with a program called Color that is invaluable for toning/correcting video.
